Name correction assistance

Correcting a name on a ticket

The name on your ticket must match your passport. A small mistake can stop you from boarding, so it is worth fixing early.

For bookings made through Aisha Enterprises. Airline rules and fees apply, and nothing is changed until you approve a written quote.

Common problems include a missing letter, swapped first and last names, a missing surname, or a title added to the name. Airlines usually allow small spelling corrections, but they treat a change to a different person as a new booking.

We compare the ticket with the passport copy you share and explain what the airline will accept. Some airlines correct a few letters for free, others charge a fee, and some require the ticket to be reissued at the current fare. We quote the airline's charge and our service fee before doing anything.

If a passenger has only one name in their passport, airlines have specific ways of entering it. We follow the airline's instruction for that case.

How it works

  1. Send the passport page

Share the photo page of the passport of the passenger concerned.

  2. We compare and check

We identify the difference and read the airline's correction rules.

  3. You approve the cost

Airline charge, if any, plus our service fee, before any change.

  4. Corrected ticket sent

We send the updated e-ticket for you to check.

Questions about this service

My passport has only a first name. How is it booked?

Airlines have a specific format for single-name passengers. We check that airline's format and enter it accordingly.

Can I change the ticket to my brother's name?

Airline tickets are usually not transferable. A new ticket in his name would normally be needed.

The name is spelt correctly but in the wrong order. Is that a problem?

It can be. Some airlines accept it, others ask for a correction. We check with the airline and tell you before your travel date.

Planning a trip for the family?

Send us the details or ask for a callback. An agent will explain your options before anything is booked.
